We are proud of our highlighted racers who are

making news on and off the track.

Story by Chris Roy

On July 2nd Richmond Karting Speedway (RKS) will remember one of their own, with a 44 lap mini-stock race, to honor Brad Moody who passed away on March 15th of this year. Brad’s son Michael will be racing in the number 44 car starting on the pole, while Brad’s brother Brian will be in his own race car #31 starting on the outside pole for the feature race. Drivers from throughout New England will be there to compete and pay their respect.

In a statement released by RKS, “Brad wasn’t just one of our competitors he was also a very close friend. There wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for anybody Brad was always one of the first ones to volunteer to help out he was always early to the track to help get set up and always stay late to make sure everything was taken care of. One of the finest moments I have is his crew chief Caleb who has a little boy who was always there to help Brad get his car ready and he sat in the driver seat as Brad would push his #44 car up to pit row . Brad was very fond of all of the children here at RKS. When you race at RKS you will always be riding with Brad Moody Jr #44.”
